Emil is a Senior Consultant and Sanctions Lead at FINTRAIL. His experience spans roles in influential think tanks to key positions within leading FinTechs, including the Centre for Finance and Security at RUSI and Stripe. At RUSI, he chaired a private sector Brexit sanctions taskforce, gave evidence to parliamentary enquiries and worked with governments on sanctions design and implementation. In the private sector, he’s helped FinTechs navigate the rapid and complex imposition of sanctions following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

Sara is the Group Sanctions Lead at Wise, where she leads the development and execution of global sanctions compliance strategies. Anti-money Laundering and Sanctions professional with a background gained over eleven years across several sectors, including e-commerce, financial services, banking, payments and corporate. Prior to Wisde, Sara has been at GlaxoSmithKline for five years leading their sanctions compliance programme, a role that has allowed her to develop valuable experience in managing various stakeholder groups across the organisation, mastering resilience through the delivery of key sanctions compliance changes.

Dan’s expertise lies in applying advanced AI techniques to tackle complex challenges in data analysis, often working with immense data volumes and striving for peak efficacy. Prior to his roles in industry, he completed a PhD in Physics at CERN, where he worked on large-scale data experiments at the Large Hadron Collider, using AI to enhance statistical sensitivity in high-energy physics research.
